Helping users understand their total net worth
Helping users make sense of their money across multiple banking institutions
This is just a brief overview of this project. Contact me for a full case study.
Overview
Led the design of a net worth experience that helps customers understand their full financial picture across Chase and external accounts, driving adoption of account aggregation at scale.
The problem
Customers often hold accounts across multiple financial institutions, making it difficult to understand their true financial picture. Customers struggled to see the value of account aggregation because external accounts lived separately and lacked context alongside their Chase holdings.
Without a clear way to view assets and liabilities together, customers were less likely to adopt aggregation and trust the experience.
My role
Lead designer for the web experience, owning end-to-end design from early concepting through launch and iteration. I worked closely with product, engineering, user research, and content partners across multiple teams, and contributed to a newly rolled out design system. I took over the mobile experience in the middle of the project.
The solution
I designed a Net Worth Overview that brings internal and external accounts together into a clear, unified view of assets, liabilities, and net worth.
Impact
customers using the net worth overview
customers connected external accounts within one year
Additional impact:
- First product to ship using Chase's new design system, helping pave the way for future teams
- Established a scalable foundation for cross-platform expansion (web → mobile)
